Important: The owner of the folder must invite you as a writer to let you upload files. If the Upload button is not present in the top right of your shared folders view, you only have reader rights.
Upload new files in AOBox
1. If required, navigate to a subfolder in your shared folders view. The current path is displayed in the breadcrumb. Press the name of any folder in the breadcrumb to display it in the view.
2. To upload new files, you can:
- drag and drop the files you want to upload to the content list
- press Upload, then select the files you want to upload
A pop-up in the bottom right of the screen indicates the progress of the upload.
Remove an uploaded file
To remove a file you have just uploaded:
1. In the pop-up in the bottom right of the screen, hover over the green check mark. The image changes to a red trash button.
2. Press the red trash button.
3. A confirmation message opens. Press Delete.
Note: Once you close the information pop-up in the bottom right of the screen, you can no longer remove your file from the folder. You can upload a new version of the file if required.
Upload new versions of files
Important:
- You can’t upload new versions of Google documents such as Docs, Sheets and Slides.
- For security reasons, you can only upload new versions of certain files, which you can identify by the Upload new version button. Contact the owner of the folder to request permission to upload new versions of files that don't have this button.
1. If required, navigate to a subfolder in your shared folders view. The current path is displayed in the breadcrumb. Press the name of any folder in the breadcrumb to display it in the view.
2. Press the Upload new version button next to the file you want to upload.
3. Select the file you want to upload.
Notes:
- The type of file you select must match the file in the folder.
- If you upload a file with a different name, the name of file in the folder remains unchanged but its content is replaced.
4. If the file has been changed since you last modified it, the Conflict resolution pop-up opens.
You're recommended to download the file and decide which version to use. Alternatively, select one of the options available to resolve the conflict:
- Upload your changes as a new document in the AOBox folder
- Overwrite the AOBox file with your changes
Press Continue in the pop-up.
A panel in the bottom right of the screen indicates the progress of the upload.
